Karen Anderson is a seasoned healthcare professional with over 35 years of experience as a Registered Technologist, including 17 years in management, leadership, and mentoring roles within imaging. She holds a Master’s Degree in Healthcare Administration and a Bachelor’s in Radiological Sciences. Throughout her career, Karen has held diverse roles ranging from Clinical Instructor and Radiology Tech to Senior Director of Mammography Applications with GE Medical Systems. Her journey has included pivotal contributions at Parkland Health, McKesson, MD Buyline, and Solis Mammography, where she continues to serve her community. Passionate about women's health, Karen has received numerous accolades for her work, including the Vizient award for Most Improved Mammography Department and the Susan G. Komen Pink Cape Recipient honor. She has also played a key role in raising $36.7 million for a new Breast Center at Parkland to support underinsured and uninsured communities. Currently, she works at Siemens Healthineers as the Women’s Health KOL Engagement and Scientific Leader, committed to advancing breast cancer detection technologies. Karen’s dedication extends beyond her profession, as she actively engages in breast cancer awareness initiatives, health fairs, and community advocacy. She has been recognized as a "Top 25 Technologist" by the North Texas Radiologic Society and received the Medical Profession Woman of the Year Award by the National Breast Cancer Foundation in 2018. Karen resides in McKinney, Texas, and enjoys spending time with her three sons, live jazz music, and biking. —
