Melanie began her journey in radiologic technology almost three decades ago, with much over 25 of those years dedicated to education and leadership. She has been on the forefront of the next generation of radiologic technologists and has held the esteemed position of Regional Program Director for The College of Health Care Professions. When she began her career with CHCP, the RT Program supported approximately 35 students, had less than 10 clinical affiliates, and was backed by 3 faculty members statewide. Fast forward to today, and the program boasts roughly 220 students, nearly 100 clinical affiliates, and 17 dedicated faculty members. This growth is a testament to her vision, dedication, and relentless pursuit of excellence.

The College of Health Care Professions offers an online Associate of Applied Science Degree in Radiologic Technology, designed to bridge the gap for Texas-certified LMRTs aiming for ARRT certification in Radiography.
